What Rehabilitation Professions Can Learn from Science and Technology Studies

What Rehabilitation Professions Can Learn from Science and Technology Studies Online

USAHS Research & Professional Development Day

30-60 minute educational session

Science and Technology Studies (STS) helps to enrich understandings of the deeply complex and interrelated networks of science, technology, society, and medical (including rehabilitation) practice. This educational session will share ways in which rehabilitation professions and STS converge, and position rehabilitation professionals as actors in healthcare service delivery that heavily draws from sciences and technologies. In doing so, the case may be made for further study and knowledge sharing across fields to optimize clinical reasoning, practice approaches, and education of students.

Presenter: Dr. Tiffany Bystra
